Q needs to work on his memory. I took him for double doubles but sent him to retrieve the birds in the order in which they came down. That way they are all memory birds. He did beautifully. He is so enthusiastic and responds to gentle corrections. He did not try to switch or break.

Prinz tried to go to the old fall after being sent for the second bird on the first double. I corrected him and he went right to it in the second double. He has now developed a habit of heading to an old fall since it happened once before. More mark line drills will help but beyond that, I need a better correction at the time that he makes that switch, typically out in the field when I think he is hunting but really he has decided. Now that I know what to watch for I can nip it in the bud. Overall though, he performed really well and super enthusiastic so I am happy! I train by the tail so as long as that tail is wagging I am doing something right- tail goes down, I need to change it up.
